Build depth: connect foreground, middle distance and horizon. Meadow textures, reflections and ridgelines can lead the eye through the frame.

Leave room for the sky: let clouds and light determine its proportion instead of applying one fixed composition. Empty space can express the breadth of the plateau.

Wait safely: stay at an appropriate location to notice wind, cloud shadows and colour. Never chase light onto closed routes or hazardous shores.

Simplify: a longer focal length can select a ridgeline, reflection or texture from a complex scene, giving the series different scales.
